TGSPL conducted a Pilot research study in January 2015 on involvement of Child Labor and Home working in the Leather footwear supply chain in South India and found that uppers of leather shoes of some well known brands are hand stitched by women in their homes along with children after their school hours.

Factory Improvement Projects
TGSPL undertakes assignments on factory improvement projects based on request from stakeholders. Our project helps introduce sustainable internal systems for achieving and maintaining required social compliance standards pertaining to Code and legal requirements. We advice in streamlining systems and introducing SOPs for managing systems.
Through the process of implementation, it is our endeavor to build bridges between internal teams by bringing them together on a common platform. Collaborative approaches is adopted in comprehending the root causes of inherent challenges and subsequently develop a pragmatic and sustainable process for implementation, thus effectively dealing with such issues within the facility.
