TGSPL conducted a Pilot research study in January 2015 on involvement of Child Labor and Home working in the Leather footwear supply chain in South India and found that uppers of leather shoes of some well known brands are hand stitched by women in their homes along with children after their school hours.

TGSPL values its reputation for ethical behavior and for financial probity and reliability. It recognizes that over and above the commission of any crime, any involvement in bribery will also reflect adversely on its image and reputation.
TGSPL prohibits the offering, giving, solicitation or acceptance of any bribe, whether cash or other inducement to or from any person or company, wherever they are situated and whether they are a public official or body or private person or company by any individual employee, agent or other person or body acting on TGSPL's behalf in order to gain any commercial, contractual or regulatory advantage in a way which is unethical or in order to gain any personal advantage, pecuniary or otherwise, for the individual or anyone connected with the individual.
TGSPL’s policies prohibit any inducement which results in a personal gain or advantage to the recipient or any person or body associated with them, and which is intended to influence them to take action which may not be solely in the interests of TGSPL or of the person or body employing them or whom they represent.
The prevention, detection and reporting of bribery is the responsibility of all employees throughout TGSPL. Suitable channels of communication by which employees or others can report any suspicion of bribery is maintained. Any such incident will be reported to the top management who would investigate the matter and initiate suitable action.
TGSPL communicates its policy to stakeholders and ensures periodic internal communication within the team.
TGSPL does not permit any sub contracting of its assignments unless prior written approval is taken from the business partners in this regard. Should a situation require any sub contracting, our business partners would be intimated in advance of such requirement for which written approval will be sought prior to undertaking the assignment.
At TGSPL, all reports undergo a quality check by a designated Quality Controller, before these are released to our business partners to ensure standards.
All team members undergo periodic reviews to evaluate compliance with TGSPL’s policies and procedures. All such reviews are documented and maintained on file.
Pre- audit Preparation
Audit objectives, scope and protocols to be followed are reviewed internally prior to every audit scheduled.
All documents are maintained on files specifically designated for business partners for all assignments undertaken. All documentation is maintained until such time, that the business partners approves of their disposal. The process of disposal of documents is strictly as per the protocols of the business partner.
We at TGSPL understand that most of the information being disclosed to us by our business partners is sensitive and confidential in nature and therefore we ensure that confidentiality of such information is maintained.
TGSPL undertakes to strictly use such confidential information only for its intended purpose and hold such information in confidence using the same degree of care as it would normally exercise to protect its own proprietary information. TGSPL only grants access to such confidential information to its employees on a need to know basis.
Each and every member of the team is required to sign on a Non Disclosure/ Confidentiality Agreement with TGSPL.
The company also conducts internal training for staff on updates with legal requirements and Code requirements.
